Brian’s Writing
Brian is a proficient writer. He has written screenplays for feature films for decades. E-Ville, is a script that Brian wrote about a fictitious small town, Elderville, which seems very charming on the surface but has something evil lurking below. Essentially, the feature film is a horror/thriller for Christians. There is “no sex and no cussing” and it delves into the spiritual battle between good and “the demonically evil.” The director and producer of a popular television series – with four full seasons available via Angel Studios – is in the process of developing and co-producing E-Ville along with Brian’s production company.
More recently, Brian has started the journey of writing non-fiction in the “Christian literature” space. In 2025, Brian completed Boxing God – a Christian non-fiction, “practical theology” book about God still doing the miraculous – which is due for publication very soon. (There is more about Boxing God below.) Brian has several other books in development that God has called him to write. Stay connected to find out more as the process unfolds.
About “Boxing God”
Whether we do it consciously or subconsciously, we all find ourselves – at times – fighting to put God in a box. When we fight to put Him in a box, we are really fighting the Lord himself. Sometimes we may do this by trying to keep Him at bay and sometimes – on the other hand, no matter how silly it may sound – we punch at Him, attempting to force Him into a proverbial box, similar to a child playing “Whac-A-Mole” at an arcade.
Before becoming believers, some of us boxed God by convincing ourselves that God didn’t exist. Or we boxed Him by claiming that – even if He did exist – the Lord probably didn’t care that much about us. Once we are born again, we may limit God when we face various obstacles in our Christian lives by convincing ourselves that He will not intervene. And maybe more commonplace for some believers, we might even decide that though God is able, He doesn’t choose to do the miraculous anymore in today’s world. This latter facet is the central focus of Brian’s upcoming book, Boxing God.
Does God still do the miraculous? Does He still speak? Does He still guide? Does He still protect, and does He still provide? If you have read your Bible without any filter affecting your digestion of Scripture, then the answer to these questions might seem obvious to you. However, many people have allowed the world’s noise – and even some voices within the church – to convince them that many of the guarantees we see in Scripture no longer apply or are no longer operable. Boxing God puts forward that God still speaks, that He still guides, that He still protects, and that He still provides.
Boxing God has four parts that Brian affectionately call “rounds,” like those that you would experience in a boxing match. Each of the four “rounds” start off with a story of amazing things that Brian has personally seen God do – at various times in his life – followed by an analysis of relevant Biblical texts pertaining to each part. There are other stories of God’s supernatural provision that involve Brian’s friends and family that are scattered throughout the various chapters that have carried important meaning for him in his life.
We pray that you keep your eye out for the release of Boxing God in the foreseeable future and help spread the word about its upcoming release.
